Beenigma Review: Here’s what you want to know about Beenigma

February 5, 2020 By //  by Brenda Pinson Leave a Comment

BEENIGMA FACE CREAM

Beenigma All-in-one face creamI started using Beenigma face cream 2 months ago. It came in a 50ml white-colored jar. The quantity seems to be more than enough for longer use. Along with the jar, a small plastic applicator is also available for ease of use. Here are certain pros and cons of Beenigma.

PROS:

  • The cream feels soft on the face which makes it easier to apply.
  • It has a mild, pleasant fragrance of honey.
  • A little goes a long way.

CONS:

  • Thick, greasy texture which feels stuffy especially if you have oily or combination skin.
  • Dark greenish mold appeared on the surface of the cream after only a couple of months. I stopped using it after that.
  • Thick texture makes the skin feel stuffy, especially to people with oily or combination skin.

In these two months using Beenigma face cream, my face felt softer after I applied it (similar to how it would feel if I applied any other moisturizer) but I did not see any significant difference otherwise.

The mold made me throw away the cream but not before re-checking the ingredients list. It does not contain any kind of preservative, natural or otherwise, which explains the mold. However, one thing that I noticed was that Bee venom and Manuka Honey are written last in the ingredient list which suggests that their quantity is a bare minimum in the formulation of this cream. Other ingredients are the same that are used to make any other drugstore moisturizer. With these ingredients, the price at which it sells is very high. Moreover, the brand hasn’t disclosed its complete list of ingredients online so the only way to know what’s in it is to buy the product or ask someone who owns it.

I looked for face creams that contain Bee venom and Manuka honey which led me to Bee Elite Essentials. Their Ageless face cream contains Bee venom, Manuka honey, Manuka oil, and other nature-based ingredients. I read all this on their website where they have put a list of ingredients on every product page. Their Face Cream costs $129  but if you buy the complete bundle which consists of Ageless Bee Venom face cream, face mask, face serum and Ageless White Willow Bark face cleanser, you get for $299 along with Face Massage roller, Gua Sha scraper, 3 lifestyle ebooks, and many other surprises.

Bee Elite Essentials Ageless Bundle

When I ordered the product, I immediately checked the ingredients list, and I was pleasantly surprised to see such a rich ingredient list. The main ingredients like Manuka honey and Bee venom are written at the top of the list and the other ingredients that follow that are just as potent and nature-based. The ingredients, price and product packaging sure has impressed me, I’m looking forward to using it.

BEENIGMA FACE MASKS

Pink rose face mask24K gold maskCocoa face mask

Beenigma offers three different face masks: 24K Gold face mask for bright skin, Pink rose mask for rejuvenated skin and Cocoa face mask for soft skin. All three face masks contain Bee Venom and Manuka honey as anti-aging ingredients but in extremely minimal quantities as the ingredient label suggests.

The three face masks seem to be targeted towards three different skin problems — dullness, roughness, and dryness. So if I would like to get all three benefits, I supposedly need to buy all three face masks which will cost roughly around $360. That is very expensive as compared to the ingredients it uses in all the three masks. The Manuka honey it uses also falls under UMF 20+ which isn’t the highest strength of Manuka honey (the highest grade Manuka honey is UMF 24+).

So naturally, I was inclined to find another anti-aging skincare brand that gives me more in a single product. A face mask that can address dullness, roughness, dryness, acne, and aging. Fortunately, I found Bee Elite Essentials.

Ageless Bee Venom Face Mask

The first thing I noticed in the Ageless Bee Venom Face cream is that it contains all the ingredients of the three Beenigma masks put together, plus more. The other thing is that it costs less than third of the money I may need to shell out for all three face mask creams. I love the fact that it is made to target all skin problems related to aging like acne, inflammation, dryness, dullness, and fine lines and wrinkles. I have to say, I found the right skincare brand for my skin.

BEENIGMA NIGHT CREAM

Night cream

Beenigma night cream is available worldwide at $34.95. It is a handy sea blue-colored bottle with a pump for ease-of-use. The key ingredients are Bee Venom, Manuka Honey, Tocopherol Acetate, and Marshmallow.

PROS:

  • It is extremely light-weight
  • It is non-greasy.
  • Smells good.

CONS:

  • It contains added fragrance and phenoxyethanol
  • It is light enough to make my face dry in the morning.

The Beenigma website does not show the quantity of the night cream so you don’t know how much product you are getting for the price you are paying. That bugged me a little bit, however, the cream is very soft to apply and absorbs instantly. I didn’t even feel that I was wearing it but by morning my face felt extremely dry. My face had started itching a little bit after I applied it. At first, I thought that maybe it was because of the Bee Venom, the website suggests that I might get a slight stinging sensation but when I checked the ingredients I knew that this might be because of Phenoxyethanol or Fragrance.

Phenoxyethanol is a preservative that is harmful to the skin and can aggravate skin allergies, irritation, rashes, blistering, and redness. Similar to that artificial fragrances are mostly made of phthalates which are well-known endocrine disruptors. EU and Canada have already banned the use of phthalates in skincare products which means fragrances should be banned too.

Ageless Bee venom Face Serum

I needed a hydrating and repairing skincare product for the night that gives my skin enough nourishment and nutrition without all the nasty ingredients and that is why I switched to Bee Elite Essentials Ageless Bee Venom Face Serum. It is easily absorbable and also keeps my skin well-hydrated till the morning. My face has started feeling softer because of the higher quality Manuka Honey (UMF24+). Most importantly, it does not contain any ingredients that can potentially harm my skin.
